Paolo Sormani

Born in Reggio Emilia on 22 July 1972, he is currently General Manager of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital.

Paolo Sormani graduated cum laude in Management Engineering from the Milan Polytechnic in April 1997, with a thesis entitled “Inventory management models for linear demand trends”, and obtained his licence to practice the profession in May of that same year.

Already in July 1997 he began working as a consultant for Corporate Value Associates, an International Strategy and Finance Consultancy company, where he held various posts over the years, including Associate, Senior Consultant and Manager, through to 2011. At the same time he also held the position of Manager for integration and finance training for new recruits, based at the Paris office. While working as a consultant, he also worked on various projects in the fields of Mergers and Acquisitions, Asset Management, Strategy, Cost Optimization and Purchasing Strategy.

From 2001 to the end of 2005, Paolo Sormani was General Manager of Cobat, the Mandatory Consortium for Used Lead Batteries and Lead Waste, and worked with both the Ministry for the Environment and the Ministry of Industrial Enterprises.

During that same period, his lecturing activities intensified, starting with the Environmental Operations Unit of the Carabinieri in 2002-2003, then with the Milan Engineers Association Foundation and “Il Poggio” University Academy in 2004 and then with the Faculty of Economics of the Luiss Guido Carli University from 2005 to 2007.

2006 saw the commencement of his close collaboration with the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome, which led to his appointment as Central Services Manager (2006), then as Administration Manager (2007-2013) and then as General Manager responsible (2013-2018).
From 2018, May, he is General Manager of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital.

Also, since 2007, Paolo Sormani has been a Member of the University Council and a member of the Executive Committee.
