Erasmus Program at UCBM

According to the national agency Indire, UCBM is the Top Institute in Italy for Erasmus+ incoming students. Data have been collected in 2015/2016 through a survey on students' satisfaction. 

This webpage is dedicated to exchange students who are willing to attend the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome for a period of study and/or internship as part of the Erasmus Plus Programme. In order to be enrolled as Erasmus students, there must be an existing Erasmus inter-institutional agreement between the Universities.

Application process

Erasmus incoming students are required to submit the following documents to the International Relations Office at Questo indirizzo email è protetto dagli spambots. È necessario abilitare JavaScript per vederlo.:

  • Student Mobility for Study (SMS)Application Form and Learning Agreement indicating the courses that the student wishes to attend at the UCBM and the associated ECTS credits (a list of possible courses is in the Student Guide for each Degree Course)
  • Student Mobility for Traineeship (SMP)Application Form and Training Agreement indicating the internship activity that the student wishes to undertake at the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome.

Application deadline

The full dossier must be submitted by:

  • June, 1st for students selected for the first semester (September-February) or for the whole academic year
  • November, 1st for students selected for the second semester (March-July).

The International Relations Department will notify acceptance to candidates by issuing a letter of acceptance. UCBM strongly recommends a knowledge of Italian language, as most classes are taught in Italian. Students will be required to attend at least 75% of the lessons in order to take the associated examinations. Specific information regarding the recording of attendance and the examinations will be provided upon arrival.

Registration procedures upon arrival

Registration will take place during the “Welcome Day” and students will be required to attend this event, bringing with them:

  • their UCBM letter of acceptance
  • the original copy of Learning Agreement or for Studies or for Traineeship.

The date of the “Welcome Day” will be indicated on the attendance certificate as the strarting date of the mobility period. During the “Welcome Day”, students will be given information regarding academic matters and any changes that may have occurred in the Learning Agreement for Studies or for Traneeship.

End of the mobility period

7 days before the end of their mobility period, Erasmus students must hand in the following items to the International Relations Office of the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome:

  • their university identity card (badge)
  • their certificate of attendance. In case of electives, students must bring the single statements for each clinical elective, signed by the section manager.

After checking the documentation, the International Relations Office will issue:

  • An attendance certificate: the arrival and departure dates printed on the certificate will be, respectively, the date in which the student registered at the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome and the last day in which student goes to the International Relations Office before leaving.
  • Transcripts of Records: a certificate indicating the examinations taken and the internship training sessions attended at the Campus Bio-Medico, as well as the ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits earned.

The Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome will only issue such certificates in the format approved by the University’s own internal bodies. Students are required to ask it personally at the designated times and may not delegate anyone else to appear on their behalf.
