elettronica per i sistemi sensoriali

Research topics and methodologies

The Unit, besides dealing with the fundamental aspects of basic electronics in analogic and digital fields, is focused on generating curricular training that allows for fruitful dialogue within the various disciplinary contexts that make up Campus Bio-Medico Università di Roma’s cultural environment. In this respect, electronics allows us to tackle and solve issues related to essential intelligent interfaces that can optimize receiving, storing and processing of data drawn from studies completed in various spheres of interest (medical, nutritional and environmental).

Main research activities are:

  • Aspects of calibration and stability assessment in sensor properties, as a basis for a shareable itinerary at scientific and above all industrial and space level
  • Development and creaation of sensors for chemical, physical and biological measurements
  • Comprehension of biological phenomena pertaining to living beings’ sensoriality oriented towards the electronic simulation of their models for the development of artificial sensorial systems
  • Designing, developing, testing and application of artificial sensorial systems (for vapors, gases and liquid) in medical, nutritional, environmental and space applications
  • Designing, developing and testing of electronic interfaces for the management of sensors, sensor systems and sensor networks
  • Designing, developing and testing of devices, methodologies and procedures for the sampling of biological fluids in a wholly non-invasive or minimally invasive way
  • Uni- and multi- variated experimental data analysis
