The advanced course in Endodontics is a post-graduate training program promoted by UCBM for international students. The course is open to Professionals with a degree (Italian and International) in Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis and it will be held in English

Objectives

Students, at the end of the course, will be able to:

• Know the modern endodontics instruments and diagnostic/working techniques, with a particular focus on the enlargement system use;
• Reach a deep knowledge of the endodontics anatomy and properly open cavity access;
• Know the fundamental working principles of canal instruments;
• Use the modern obturation canal systems, instruments and techniques;
• Know the fundamental principles of the post-endodontics reconstruction;
• Use the modern post-endodontics reconstruction systems, instruments and techniques;
• Apply the clinical practices concepts by means of specific training sessions;
• Analyse and resolve critical clinical cases with the course professors’ guidance;
• Develop a critical approach to the literature analysis.

Required Degree

Italian or International Bachelor in Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis

Course Structure

The course is divided in one week on site stage in Rome and one year distance learning, and it provides a certificate of advanced education in endodontics. The admission process relies on the evaluation of the candidates' CVs and individual interviews.

The course is arranged according an integrated learning system based on theoretical activities and individual learning, and carried out by means of clinical simulators. It offers a multidisciplinary approach through frontal and interactive lessons, literature analysis and clinical cases discussions.

Students, during the 1-year distance learning period, will present their own clinical case as well as provide their literature critical analysis.
