2004-2007: Design, development and validation, including through pre-clinical tests on animal models, of the tf-LIFE electrode prototypes, in parallel with the development of the mechatronic hand prosthesis prototype able of independent movements of the five fingers.

2007-2008: Obtainment of the necessary authorizations from the Ethics Committee of the University “Campus Bio-Medico” and from the Italian Ministry of Health; selection of potential candidates taking part of the experimentation.

November 2008: Implant of electrodes with surgery on the selected candidate.

November-December 2008: Clinical experimentation of the electrodes through patient training, registration and stimulation sessions.

2009-2010: On the basis of the results obtained from tests performed on the patient, system optimization is planned
