OFA

  • What are OFA (Additional Learning Obligations)?
All students who have completed their enrollment are required to take, at the beginning of the teaching semester, a test aimed at verifying any training gaps in first-year disciplines. At the outcome of the test can be assigned to the student one or more addictional learning obligatios (OFA).
  • What are the OFA that can be assigned?
OFAs can be awarded in mathematics and English.
  • How does the OFA verification test take place?
Verification of compulsory training is the subject of a specific test at the beginning of the teaching semester.
The test for verifying OFA in mathematics consists of a test made up of mathematics questions. Students who achieve a grade lower than 18/30 are awarded the OFA in mathematics.
The OFA verification test in English consists of a placement test administered by the University Language Center. Students with a level of English knowledge equal to or lower than B1 are assigned the OFA in English.
The instructions for carrying out the tests are communicated to students with a dedicated email.
  • How do I know if I have OFA?
The student views the grade obtained through a notice published on E-learning by the Degree Course Teaching Office.
If the grade obtained is below 18/30, it is necessary to complete the OFA.
  • What do I do if I have OFA?
OFA in mathematics: satisfaction of the OFA will be verified by the teachers in charge of the teaching to which the OFA pertains. The dates of the OFA tests are planned before the scheduled exam sessions and are published in Esse3. In order to access the exam, the student must book on Esse3.
The additional learning obligation is considered fulfilled if the test is passed.
OFA in English: to fulfill the OFA the student is required to attend English language lessons provided by the University Language Centre.

OFAs in mathematics and English must be completed before taking the relevant exams required by the study plan, such as: Mathematical Analysis and Linear Algebra and General English.
  • What happens if I don't comply with the OFA?
As an alternative to the above method, OFAs are considered fulfilled upon passing the relevant related exams.

Internships

The extra-curricular internship or internship is an opportunity to promote graduates' entry into the world of work, as well as their first work experience.
The curricular internship constitutes an opportunity within the study program to deepen and enrich the training received and also encourage a first approach to the operational reality. The study plan of the CdS encourages and promotes the carrying out of curricular internships in the context of 'other activities' or the carrying out of external training periods for the drafting of the paper for the final exam at affiliated companies and organisations.
The Career Service office has the task of managing the procedure for activating and carrying out the internship for everything concerning: contact with representatives and tutors of the host structures, training project of the internship, methods and times for attending the structure. For general information, please refer to the section Internships and Opportunities - UCBM (unicampus.it) of the Career Service.
