Dr Lazzaro di Biase is a Clinical Neurologist with a PhD in Science of Aging and Tissue Regeneration at the Campus Bio-Medico University (UCBM) of Rome. He is the Scientific Director of the Brain Innovations Lab, an a UCBM spin off. He has clinical and international research experience in the field of neurodegenerative disease and movement disorders. Dr di Biase worked as a clinical researcher in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences at Oxford University and University College London, UK and as a visiting doctor in the Movement Disorders Clinic at the Toronto Western Hospital, Canada. His expertise and innovative research in clinical neurology and neurophysiology and developing new technologies has led to advances in the differential diagnosis of tremor syndromes, the diagnosis of Parkinson's Syndrome, monitoring and adaptive closed-loop therapy, with four patents filed as inventor and an innovative startup founded. On an academic level, dr. Di Biase is a tutor in the teaching of Human Physiology SSD BIO/09, and of Neurology and Psychiatry SSD MED/26; in addition, since 2021 he has been a contract professor for the teaching activity of Physiology SSD BIO/09, for the Medicine and Surgery English degree course, in the departmental faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome.
