Tribute to the great actor
On Monday 15 June 2015, in the Sala Sinopoli of the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, the Alberto Sordi Foundation pays homage to the figure of the great actor on his birthday with the special event "Premio Alberto Sordi". The event also aims to raise awareness and support the initiatives for the frail elderly that the Foundation carries out according to the wishes of Alberto Sordi. During the evening, presented by Fabrizio Frizzi, numerous exponents from the world of entertainment, art and culture will take turns to bring their own testimony in memory of the great actor.
The proceeds of the evening will be used to support the Health Research Project for the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's Disease and the Brain Stimulation Project for Post-Stroke Motor Recovery conducted byUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma of which the Foundation is a supporting body. Prof. will speak on stage. Vincenzo Di Lazzaro, Head of the Department of Neurology, to illustrate the progress of the supported projects.
The "Alberto Sordi Prize", awarded every year to Excellences on the Italian scene who have distinguished themselves not only from a professional point of view, but above all in terms of social commitment, will be awarded in this edition to ENRICO BRIGNANO, RICCARDO COCCIANTE, CARLO CONTI, ROSARIO FIORELLO, GABRIELLA PESSION, LUCIA VEDANI (“Alberto Sordi Award for Solidarity”) who will intervene on stage to personally collect the award. The Master Sculptor Egidio Ambrosetti will create the precious sculpture in gold leaf representing the Award.
