THEUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma has announced the Summer Lab, a competition of ideas aimed at students attending the fourth year of high schools and technical institutes throughout Italy to offer them a unique experience of its kind: becoming university students for a week, guests of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. The call, which closed on April 24, was met with great participation from the school world; of the many proposals received, 14 were selected and, starting from June 12, the doors of the Faculty of Engineering will open for the 14 chosen minds.
A 5-day program has been designed for the winners of the Summer Lab which will allow them to come into close contact with the university reality. Seminars held by researchers and teachers will alternate with laboratory activities. Participants in the Summer Lab, supported by a personal tutor, will also be able to test themselves in one of the seven research units identified on the basis of the proposed project idea: Robotics, Automation, Computer Science, Instrumentation, Electronics, Chemistry and Modelling.
In the evening, children will also have the opportunity to explore the capital: in fact, mini tours have been designed for them in the most beautiful and evocative places in Rome. At the end of university commitments, students will be able to experience the Roman summer by visiting the most important areas and monuments of the city and savoring the typical Roman cuisine.
