THEProCare AssociationIn partnership with Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, the Healthcare Bioethics Center of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation and the Research Unit in Bioethics and Humanities of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma organizes, from 7 to 9 April 2025, the Second ProCare Workshop, a high-level meeting that will focus on the role of hope in medicine and bioethics.
In the days following the Jubilee of the Sick and the World of Health (5-6 April) the second ProCare Workshop will be the place and space conceived with the desire to transmit and welcome life. One of the most significant moments will be the meeting with Professor Mariano Fazio Fernandez, auxiliary vicar of Opus Dei, scheduled for April 8. He will offer a reflection on the theme of hope as the foundation of the ethics of care.
The format of the event follows the approach already successfully tested in the first ProCare Workshop, held in Buenos Aires in 2024, alternating moments of theoretical study and practical sessions aimed at formulating concrete proposals.
The Workshop will be an invitation-only event, including a group of young people selected by the organizers. However, there are plans two sessions open to the public to broaden the dialogue and spread the topics discussed, which will be held on the morning of 7th April at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross and the8th April at the 'Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma.
