Presentation of the program
The program of Human Flourishing proposed in collaboration with Human Flourishing Program at Harvard's Institute for Quantitative Social Science (https://hfh.fas.harvard.edu/) offers students a hands-on approach to flourishing human and to the experience of virtues.
The methodology of the program, mediated by the Harvard program, has an operational nature: through specific exercises, students will be able to work on their personal growth and improve the quality of their life.
Program contents
The program will explore the importance of flourishing in everyday life through anthropology, positive psychology and empirical studies (https://www.pnas.org/doi/pdf/10.1073/pnas.1702996114). The program will be divided into five areas of intervention:
- Happiness and satisfaction with one's life [happiness and life satisfaction]
- Meaning and purpose [meaning and purpose]
- Virtue and character [virtue and character]
- Intimate social relationships [close social relationships]
- Physical and mental health [physical and mental health]
For each of them, a practical exercise will be proposed, carried out with the aid of Flourishing app, developed within the Harvard program (https://hfh.fas.harvard.edu/flourishing.app).

Mission of the University and Purpose of the Program
The program fits within the University's mission and offers students a space to engage in self-care and reflect on their place in the world. An opportunity to stop, reflect on your life path and develop personal growth skills. The students who take part in the program will contribute to the construction of a dynamic space of which they will be protagonists and of which they will become pioneers in the near future.

The course will provide students with the opportunity to develop various skills and competencies crucial for their personal and professional growth, including:
- Self-determination
- Self-directed learning
- Relational skills
- Critical self-evaluation
- Transversal skills
- Practical approach to improving the quality of life
Program details
- Duration: from March 18th to March 22nd, with introductory lesson on March 13th and administration of the first questionnaire in the first week of March;
- Timetable: daily lessons from 17.00 pm to 19.00 pm;
- Credits: 3 extracurricular credits;
- The program will be delivered in lingua inginjured;
- Number of participants: 100 (participation will be guaranteed to students from the first three years of all degree courses until the maximum number is reached);
- Participants will be given questionnaires – one before the start of the program (online), one at the beginning (in presence), one at the end (in presence) and one in the semester following the program (online) – for research purposes. During this time the students will undertake to carry out the planned exercises. Completing the questionnaires and carrying out the exercises will be necessary requirements for obtaining the 3 credits;
- To test the effectiveness of the program, 100 students who will not be able to participate in this edition due to lack of places will be identified as a control group. These will be required to participate in the questionnaires. For their participation, 1 extracurricular credit will be recognized;
- Joint certification UCBM and Harvard Human Flourishing Program.

Program Details
- Duration: March 18 to March 22, with an introductory session on March 13 and the first questionnaire administered in the first week of March;
- Schedule: Daily classes from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM;
- Credits: 3 extracurricular credits;
- Language: The program will be conducted in English;
- Participants: Limited to 100 students (participation will be guaranteed to students from the first three years of all degree courses until the maximum number is reached);
- Participants will be administered questionnaires – one before the start of the program (online), one at the beginninging (in person), one at the end (in person), and one in the semester following the program (online) – for research purposes. During this period, students will commit to completeing the specified exercises. Filling out the questionnaires and completeing the exercises will be requirements to earning the three extracurricular credits;
- To test the effectiveness of the program, a control group of 100 students, unable to participate in this edition due to limited availability, will be identified. They will be required to complete the questionnaires.1 extracurricular credit will be granted for their participation;
- Joint Certification: UCBM and Harvard Human Flourishing Program
