Purpose
The advanced training course in Beauty Recovery Specialist aims at perfecting the theoretical-practical skills of operators in the sector already in possession of the Qualification of Beautician. The training course will allow participants to operate in the new area of services for beauty and psychophysical well-being in a highly professional manner. The specialist operator will be able to act with specific skills and competences in the recovery phase of the patient's aesthetic morphology after particularly traumatic surgical interventions, as a support not only strictly surgical but also psychological for the person with debilitating pathologies. The training path therefore aims to define a new highly qualified professional figure - the hospital beautician - capable of supporting the doctor and operating in the reference structures.
Recipients and output profile
The course is mainly aimed at beauticians in possession of a qualification diploma according to law n.1 of 4 January 1990. The scientific committee may also evaluate the participation of beauticians in possession of a second year qualification diploma or other professionals in sectors related to the course.

- Beautician, operator of the sector in medical centres, SPAs and Beauty Farms
- Aesthetic operator with a highly specialized professional curriculum, suitable to operate in the field of aesthetic care of elderly people within the appropriate reception facilities
Didactic structure
The program is divided into 11 thematic modules, distributed over 25 training days. Lessons will take place mainly on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
- Module 1: Anatomy, physiology, hygiene, dermatology: Know the main aspects of anatomy and physiology, especially related to skin and body care treatments. Notions of hygiene and dermatology.
- Module 2: Anthropology, forensic medicine: Anthropological hints of aesthetic care. Basics of forensic medicine related to the exercise of health and aesthetic professions.
- Module 3: Marketing: Know the principles of marketing and organization of a beauty center. The importance of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and web Marketing.
- Module 4: Food science, cosmeceutics, psychology: Fundamental notions on nutrition and cosmeceutics bases. Know the foundations of psychology and professional ethics to manage the relationship with customers following particularly traumatic surgical operations.
- Module 5/6: Cosmetology: Knowing how to use cosmetics and beauty treatments by identifying, on the basis of acquired skills, the specific treatments functional to the client's needs. Know the main techniques of aesthetics, make-up and pre and post plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery treatments.
- Module 7: Tricocosmeceutics: Cosmetic treatments and trichological products. Know the causes of primary and secondary alopecia.
- Module 8: Bio-medical devices: Know the characteristics and use of the main biomedical devices, which are essential to provide professional support to the doctor in post-treatment management. The role of the beautician in support of the laser doctor.
- Module 9: Plastic surgery: Know the main techniques of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.
- Module 10: Camouflage make-up: Know the main camouflage make-up techniques and methods for hiding skin imperfections.
- Module 11: Dermopigmentation: Know the main semi-permanent make-up techniques.
The training process of the course also includes an internship experience in which the participants will have the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice and therefore relate directly with patients.

The educational activities will take place at theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, Via Álvaro del Portillo, 21 - 00128 Rome.
Method of admission
The application for admission must be submitted no later than 22 November 2015 using the online procedure available at the following internet address: www.unicampus.it/brsIVedition. The selection will be made through curricular evaluation and motivational interview which will take place on 26 November 2015. In order to access the selections it is necessary to pay the admission fee of € 50,00 (VAT exempt).
Registration and payment
The training course has a registration fee of € 2.500,00 (VAT exempt) to be divided into the following 2 installments:
- €1.500,00 upon enrollment (December 11, 2015)
- €1.000,00 by 30 April 2016
In no case will the fees be refunded.
