Course

The course aims to develop advanced skills in the organizational and management area, in order to implement health planning policies and interventions aimed at continuous quality improvement, with reference to the structural, technological and human resources of the area to which they belong, to guarantee the objectives of the health care system.

In compliance with the provisions of art. 16 quinquies of Legislative Decree no. 502/1992, the course in "Healthcare Management" is a necessary requirement for carrying out the duties relating to company health management functions and management of complex structures.

Recipients and access requirements

The course is reserved for the executive staff of ASL, AO, IRCCS and other entities referred to in art. 4, paragraphs 12 and 13 of Legislative Decree 502/1992, with a minimum of 5 years of service as of 31/03/2023.

Priority is given to the personnel of the structures present in the territory of the Lazio Region.

Eligible candidates are ranked according to the following priority criteria:

  • Corporate Health Directors of the Health System of the Lazio Region who do not yet possess the management training certificate in question.
  • Executives of Complex Operating Units with the role of Head of Department/Area of ​​the Health System of the Lazio Region who do not yet possess the certificate of managerial training in question.
  • Executives of Complex Operating Units with the role of Directorate of UOC of the Health System of the Lazio Region not yet in possession of the managerial training certificate in question.
  • Company Administrative Directors of the Health System of the Lazio Region.
  • Doctors, dentists, veterinarians, pharmacists, biologists, chemists, physicists, psychologists, managers of the health, administrative, professional, technical, technical-health professions of the Health System of the Lazio Region who, despite not having a Complex Operative Unit, have the following requirements:
    a. executives in charge of management of simple or simple departmental operating units;
    b. executives with at least 10 years of service.
  • Doctors, dentists, veterinarians, pharmacists, biologists, chemists, physicists, psychologists and managers of the health, administrative, professional, technical, technical-health professions of the Health System of the Lazio Region with seniority of service of at least 5 years of management, at the date of 31/03/2023.
  • Executives with the role of Management of Complex Operating Units not belonging to the Health System of the Lazio Region.
  • Medical managers, dentists, veterinarians, pharmacists, biologists, chemists, physicists, psychologists and managers of the health, administrative, professional, technical, technical-health professions not belonging to the Health System of the Lazio Region.

  • 4 general subject areas
  • 2 specialist thematic areas; one for the clinical-assistance profile, the other for the administrative profile.

Teaching methodology

The teaching methodology is predominantly Interactive:

face-to-face and online teaching is supplemented by testimonials from hospitals and tools such as analysis and discussion of case studies, role playing, analysis grids and development of a specific project work.


The online modules will be delivered from 28/04/2023 to 10/05/2023, to then resume face-to-face lessons starting from 11/05/2023.

Method of admission

The application for admission must be submitted no later than 23:59 pm on 31/03/2023 using the online procedure available clicking here and provides for the inclusion of:

  • personal data and data relating to securities;
  • the payment of an admission fee of € 60,00 by bank transfer to the University bank current account in the name of:

The ranking will be published on the Course web page by 06/04/2023.

Enrollment and participation fee

The enrollment fee for the Specialization Course is equal to € 2.200 (two thousand two hundred/00) to be paid in two instalments:

• 06st installment: upon enrollment (by 04/2023/1.200) equal to €;

• 15nd installment: by 07/2023/1.000 equal to €.

Payment of the st installment must be made only following confirmation of admission by the UCBM Academy

The scan of the bank transfer receipt must be sent by email to: [email protected] by 11 /04/2023.

Failure to pay the first installment of the course by that date will be considered as a renouncement by the candidate to participate in the course and, therefore, suitable candidates will be called following the ranking.

In no case will the participation fees paid to the Specialization Course be refunded.

Title awarded

At the end of the didactic activity, the participants will have to take an evaluation test which consists in the presentation and discussion of a final project work in front of a Commission.

Participants who pass the assessment test, who are in compliance with the limits of absences set out in this notice and with administrative obligations, will be issued:

  • the management training certificate from the Lazio Region, which is valid for seven years from the date of issue;
  • the qualification in Healthcare Management of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, with the recognition of 16 CFU.
