Educational objectives
The Master aims at transmitting knowledge and acquire strategies and skills in the emergency-urgency clinic. At the end of the course of study the student:
- Will acquire communicative-relational strategies in the context of emergencies
- Will develop research methodological skills and bioethical knowledge for emergency professional practice
- Will acquire skills in the assessment and clinical care management of medical-surgical emergencies
- Will acquire knowledge of pharmacology and pharmacodynamics in emergencies and of diagnostic-therapeutic aids for the management of clinical criticalities
- Will acquire adequate knowledge for the management of territorial emergencies and disaster medicine
Professional outlets
The profile formed by the Master, in accordance with current legislation, is the DEA nurse. It can be placed in the private and public health sector (according to current regulations).
Recipients and access requirements
The Master is intended for nursing staff (class L/SNT01 or LM/SNT01) in possession of the following qualifications:
- Degree in Nursing obtained in accordance with DM 509/99
- Three-year university qualification for the profession of nurse according to the regulations prior to DM509/99
- Diplomas obtained by members of the healthcare profession of Nurse based on paragraph 10 Article 1 of Law 1/2002, in possession of a five-year high school diploma
- Equivalent qualification obtained abroad and accompanied by dichiaravalue tion
The academic qualification must be possessed by the candidate admitted to attend the Master by and no later than 4 July 2022.
Didactic structure and thematic areas
The Master is structured in 7 thematic areas which include integrated forms of theoretical activities, individual learning and field experiences.
The Master will be delivered in blended mode: the contents of some lessons will be made available through an online platform for the students to use. Through this platform it will be possible to access the teaching material and the assessment tests in progress.
Internship
Specific agreements are being stipulated with the following structures for carrying out the internship:
- "A. Gemelli" General Hospital Foundation in Rome;
- "Casilino" General Hospital in Rome;
- Fatebenefratelli San Giovanni Calibita - Tiber Island.
To obtain the title it will be necessary to participate in 62 internship shifts.
The internship will allow the acquisition of solid technical skills under the supervision of clinical tutors.
Attendance fee
The Master requires a participation fee of € 2.600,00.
The participation fee can be paid one-off or in 4 installments of € 650,00 as follows:
- the first installment to be paid by 20 May 2022;
- the second installment to be paid by 31 July 2022;
- the third installment to be paid by 30 November 2022;
- the fourth installment by 31 March 2023.
In no case will the fees be refunded.
Discounted rate
A reduced fee of €2.000,00 is available for employees of the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Campus Bio-Medico and for undergraduates (until 22 August 2022) of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma.
Method of admission
The closure of the second application session for the Master must be submitted by 12 June 2022 using the online procedure available on the website www.unicampus.it/ucbmacademy and provides for the inclusion of:
- personal data;
- CV
- self-declaration in lieu of a certification;
- payment of the fee of € 50;
- copy of the identity document.
The second selection session will take place at theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma on the day of 16 2022 June.
Having read the admission, enrollment in the Master must be made by 20 2022 June.
All payments, including the one relating to the admission application, must be made to the bank current account held in the name of:

Specify the reason for each payment (Name and Surname - Master in Intensive and Emergency-Urgency Nursing).
Title issued and certifications
Participants who complete the Master and are in compliance with the administrative obligations will be awarded the I level University Master in "Intensive and Emergency-Urgency Nursing" (60 credits).
The Master's will also confer the American Heart Association (ACLS) Advanced Certification.
