The Master is in blended mode: 50% of the lessons in person and 50% in live streaming.

The Master in Clinical Ultrasound applied to medical sciences is designed to develop basic and advanced skills in clinical ultrasound, applied to different specialist scenarios.

Ultrasound represents an important added value, as it allows to guarantee correct diagnostic orientation right from the initial clinical presentation of the patient. Training doctors who have theoretical knowledge and practical ability to apply ultrasound to the study of the patient is a requirement required in all healthcare work areas: from emergency to the inpatient department, from specialist and general medicine clinics, up to use in emergencies or in areas with limited resources.

Recipients

The Master is aimed at:

  • Graduates in Medicine and Surgery
  • Doctors in specialist training or already specialists in the various medical and surgical branches
  • Doctors in possession of a certificate of attendance in ultrasound schools accredited by scientific societies recognized at national or international level
  • General practitioners

Teaching method, organization and duration:

The Master is structured into 12 thematic areas which include integrated forms of theoretical activities and guided simulations at the University's Simulation Center.

During the training course, 170 hours of internship will be carried out at specific affiliated facilities.

Lessons will normally take place every other week on the following days and times:

  • Thursday from 14pm to 00pm
  • Friday from 10: 00 to 20: 00
  • Saturday from 8: 00 to 14: 00

The duration is 1 year for a total of 60 CFU.

Method of admission

The application for admission to the Master must be submitted by 21/10/2024 using the online procedure available on the page dedicated to the Master and requires the inclusion of:

  • personal data;
  • CV
  • self-certification of qualifications;
  • payment of the admission fee of €60,00 by bank transfer to the bank account IBAN: IT63Y0200805181000106877148, made out to Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, at Unicredit Spa, specifying in the reason "Surname, Name, Ultrasound Master";

The selection will be based on an evaluation of the curriculum vitae and a technical-motivational interview, which will be held on 24 October 2024.

Participation fee and reduced rates

The participation fee for the Master is €3.500,00.

The discounted rate of €2.500,00 is reserved for those who:

  • I have a certificate of attendance at ultrasound schools accredited by scientific societies recognized at a national or international level;
  • for employees of the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Campus Bio-Medico and for graduates ofUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma.

Degree awarded

Second level University Master's Degree in Clinical Ultrasound applied to medical sciences with the award of 60 CFU.
