The master
The Interfaculty Master's Degree in "Precision Medicine between Culture and Society: Genomics, Bioinformatics, AI and Management" is promoted by the Departmental Faculties of Medicine and Surgery and Engineering of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, in collaboration with CMP3VdA, a research center specialized in genomic and Big Data analysis based in the Valle d'Aosta Autonomous Region.
What is the Master in Precision Medicine between Culture and Society: Genomics, Bioinformatics, AI and Management?
It is an advanced training course, designed to be able to apply artificial intelligence and genomics in the medical field, encouraging the transition and evolution towards a new healthcare approach based increasingly on the concept of precision medicine. The rise of artificial intelligence in healthcare is taking precision medicine to the next level, providing the opportunity to accelerate and improve diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.

To acquire the tools necessary to apply artificial intelligence in the medical field, in particular in genomic sciences. The technical and transversal skills provided will allow you to hold roles of responsibility within organizations operating in a variety of sectors such as, for example, those of medical and industrial biotechnology, pharmacology and medicine.
Recipients and access title
The Master is aimed at professionals who have different backgrounds and who operate in various capacities in the biotechnology sector such as, for example, hospital doctor, pharmaceutical researcher, biomedical engineer, bioinformatician-AI researcher, Technology Transfer Officer and more. The Master is also aimed at those who, despite not being in the biotechnology sector, want to acquire the necessary skills to access it.
To be able to apply for admission it is necessary to have obtained an Old System, Specialist or Master's Degree belonging to one of the degree classes available in the fillet present among the downloadable documents. Qualifications other than those listed will be evaluated by a specific evaluation commission.
For those who do not meet the above requirements, it will be possible to participate in the Master as auditors.
It is also possible to participate in single modules of the Master which will be accredited by ECM.
Enrollment in the Master is compatible with enrollment in another university course in accordance with the provisions of Law no. 33 of 12/04/2022 and by DM 930 of 29/07/2022.
Duration, teaching method and organization
The Master has a duration of 1 academic year with part-time attendance of 2/3 weekends per month:
- Friday from 14pm to 00pm;
- Saturday from 09.00 to 13 and from 00 to 14.
The lessons will be delivered in blended mode:
- 45% of lessons available via live streaming;
- 55% of lessons available in person at the University of Valle d'Aosta.
Classroom teaching is based on a predominantly interactive methodology, with the aim of promoting the professional and personal development of the participant. All the tools to support the classroom lessons will allow to deal with concrete problems in order to stimulate their resolution through a personalization of the acquired knowledge and skills. Furthermore, the teaching methodologies used will favor not only the comparison between teachers and students but also between the students themselves. In particular, there will be:

- Internship and final thesis.

Method of admission
Admission to the Master must be submitted by 23.59 pm on 22th October 2023 using the online procedure and provides for the inclusion of:
- personal data;
- Curriculum vitae;
- dichiarasubstitute title of study;
- valid identification document;
- payment of the admission fee of € 60,00.
All payments, including that relating to the application for admission, must be made to a bank current account, the references are given below:

The selection will be made through curricular evaluation and oral interviews that will take place during the day October 24, 2023 in streaming mode.
Attendance fee
The enrollment fee for the entire Master is €5.000,00 to be divided into 2 installments:
- €2.500,00 upon enrollment (October 24, 2023)
- €2.500,00 by 30 April 2024
Degree awarded
The achievement of the training course allows the acquisition of the II level University Master's degree in "Precision Medicine between Culture and Society: Genomics, Bioinformatics, AI and Management".
