The course analyzes the national and international guidelines on central vascular accesses and the accreditation process for complex care processes. According to procedures and protocols accredited by Best Practice, ultrasound-guided venous cannulations are proposed, monitored with intracavitary ECG. In the two days of the course, the morning is dedicated to the explanation of the techniques, to the prevention and treatment of possible complications, using a Panthom simulator. In the two afternoons of the workshop, the participants carry out the practical part in the rooms of the +2 operating blocks and surgical clinics, tutored by the anesthesiologists of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital in the ultrasound-guided PORT positioning techniques on selected patients.

Educational objectives |
The course is intended for professionals who must carry out an ultrasound-guided port-a-cath implant, according to the procedures and protocols of the Best Practice, in the patient who needs an assisted home diagnostic-therapeutic path, in order to optimize the quality of care and improve the efficacy and safety of therapeutic treatments. |
