Practical exercise
Nurses and doctors will carry out intensive training and will see practical demonstrations on the latest techniques used during peripheral venous accesses. Participants, guided by industry experts, will be able to put into practice the knowledge acquired during the lesson by practicing on a simulator.
Recipients
The course is aimed at nurses, surgeons and possibly students of the degree course in medicine and surgery and nursing sciences, for a maximum of 12 participants.
Educational objectives
The course aims to provide the basic knowledge regarding venous sampling and the positioning of peripheral venous accesses
Didactic structure and thematic areas
The program is divided into 5 hours of lessons (approximately) which will take place on 15 September 2018 as follows:
- 08:45 – 09:00 am introduction
- 09:00 am – 09:30 am theoretical lesson on peripheral venous access
- 09:30 am – 10:00 am first practical session
- 10:00 am – 10:45 am second practical session
- 10:45 am – 11:00 am coffee breaks
- 11:00 am – 11:30 am theoretical lesson on venous sampling
- 11:30 am – 12:30 pm third practical session
- 12 – 30 debriefing final and conclusions
Certificate
All participants will receive a certificate of attendance at the course
