Holy Mass dedicated to the founder of Opus Dei, whose message inspires the activities of the University and the Policlinico Foundation
"Where your love pours, that is the place of your daily encounter with Christ. It is in the midst of the most material things on earth that we must sanctify ourselves, serving God and all men". They are words of Saint Josemaría Escrivá, founder of Opus Dei, taken from "Loving the World Passionately" the homily delivered in Pamplona on October 8, 1967 and in which the main messages of Opus Dei are summed up.
Holy Mass was celebrated on Monday 26 June in the chapel of the University Hospital by Cardinal Angelo Comastri, Archpriest Emeritus of the Papal Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican and Vicar General Emeritus of His Holiness for the Vatican City. A message centered on each person's vocation to holiness: "All Christians are called to holiness where they are, where they live, where they work - reads the homily - profession for the Christian is not simply a job but it is the means in which and through which holiness is expressed".
Daily work therefore becomes the privileged place to be able to sanctify oneself, just as some colleagues recount in the video made for the feast of St. Josemaría, the ordinary's saint.
