Promoting integrated, efficient and environmentally friendly urban mobility, while improving the quality of life of those who live and work on the Campus every day: this is the strategic objective of the Home-Work Travel Plan (PSCL), coordinated by Campus Bio-Medico SpA and aimed at students, doctors, teachers, researchers, healthcare and administrative staff of theCampus Bio-Medico University (UCBM) and Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation.
The PSCL represents a comprehensive and participatory planning tool, aimed at progressively reducing private vehicle traffic and encouraging active, shared, and sustainable modes of transportation. The plan involves the entire university and healthcare community—students, faculty, clinical, and administrative staff—and is an integral part of the University's commitment to a responsible mobility model, inspired by the principles of One Health, which promotes the synergy between human health, environmental protection and social well-being.
In recent days, a listening and survey process has been launched through the administration of a questionnaire addressed to all Campus members.
The tool, designed to identify daily travel habits, perceived challenges, and potential areas for improvement, will provide a solid data base for developing targeted, effective interventions tailored to the actual needs of users. Over the years, the Campus Bio-Medico has already implemented numerous concrete initiatives promoting sustainable mobility, including the implementation of cycle/pedestrian paths, the introduction of car-sharing services, and the adoption of digital solutions for monitoring and optimizing travel. These actions demonstrate a forward-thinking vision consistent with the goal of making the Campus an increasingly accessible, livable, and environmentally friendly ecosystem.
With the PSCL, theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma reaffirms its role as a responsible and innovative actor, contributing to the transition towards a modern, inclusive and future-oriented mobility system.
