The reigning champions grant an encore

10 May 2016 - The AC Picchia team (4th year of Medicine) won, on Monday 9 May, the XX edition of the 5-a-side football tournament “G. Marinozzi”, repeating the success achieved last year. A hard-fought final against Herta Vernello (5th year of Medicine), which then ended with the result of 4 to 3. In the end, it was Vito Coco's brace that made the difference: his goal was 2 to 2 at the start of the second half, which put the reigning champions back on track, who had closed the first half 2-1 behind.

Herta Vernello comes out defeated, but with his head held high, and can console himself with the top scorer of the tournament: Dario Calderone, author of 51 goals overall, three in the final, one of which scored with a splendid bicycle kick that received the applause of the large crowd present.

AC Picchia also took home the best goalkeeper award, Alessandro Cruciani, while FC Lebowksy won the fair play award.

In the consolation final, Borussia Pattarmund was right - again with the result of 4 to 3 - of Infermed's team, which therefore finished in fourth place.

14 goals in all on the day of the finals, crowning a tournament that starts quietly, but every year ends, in the month of May, to excite the players and the public present. Appointment now for next year, and who knows if for the champions of AC Picchia the proverb "there are no two without three" will apply.
