Nationwide providers
Last October, the Post-Graduate Training Service of the Campus Bio-Medico University received the prestigious accreditation as Ecm Provider at a national level. The University is now enabled to directly assign training credits for continuous training activities aimed at health professionals, without turning to an external body for their recognition. The accreditation was issued by Agenas (National Agency for Regional Health Services) which supports the Ministry of Health and the Regions for the development and innovation strategies of the National Health Service.
The recognition comes after three years of provisional accreditation, which served the University to structure itself with dedicated human, economic and structural resources, and to Agenas to verify the quality of the University in the field of continuing medical education. A path that culminated last July with the inspection visit by the evaluators, who ascertained adherence to the minimum requirements defined by the Agenas guidelines: dedicated resources and structures, economic-financial reliability and above all a guarantee of the scientific value of the training were some of the parameters on which the accreditation game was played.
The work on the ECMs is "directed" by the Scientific Committee, coordinated by the Magnificent Rector Prof. Andrea Onetti Muda. Professors are also part of the Committee Sergio Morini, Rossana Alloni, Maria Grazia De Marinis, Silvia Sterzi e Daniela Tartaglini. The Scientific Committee has the task of validating the training plan, drawn up every year on the proposal of teachers and medical-health personnel.
From 2012 to today, the University has carried out 55 CME courses, offering training to over a thousand people, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and health technicians. For the next academic year, there are already 15 projects scheduled from January to April. Accreditation was not the finish line of a long race, but the starting point for a major ongoing training project.
