The students ofUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma they shone at the AIIC Awards 2024, Durante it XXIV National Conference of the Italian Association IngClinical engineers: I'm Alessandro Ferranti, graduate of the three-year degree course in IngIndustrial engineering, e Francesca Santucci, PhD student and Alumna of the Master's Degree Course in IngBiomedical engineering.

Alessandro won the recognition “Artificial Intelligence Applications” for the design of Freki's vision interface: a robot dog capable of facilitating biological sampling in a hospital setting. “I would like to continue my studies by participating in projects like this, which can create a real impact"ofchiara Alessandro who, after participating in the Bootcamp UCBM 2023 in Cambridge, intends to continue his studies in the field of Machine Learning and Data Science.

Francesca obtained the award for Best Doctoral Thesis in the category “Innovative Applications of Bioingengineering". Thanks to the project he carried out at the University of Austin on the development of an ultra-thin and flexible electronic tattoo. “I have implemented an algorithm capable of removing movement artifacts, remotely extracting the patient's cardiac parameters during daily activities or in stressful conditions” explains Francesca.

Also among the finalists Alessandra Fiorenza, Alumna of the Master's Degree Course in IngBiomedical engineering, with a project of Frugal Innovation: an electro writ melt deviceing for the sustainable production of products in the hospital, using an old 3D printer and the transformer of a cathode ray tube TV.

Admissions are open to Three-year degree course in Biomedical Engineering and at the Merit Session for the Master's Degree in IngBiomedical engineering.

Two students from Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma excelled at the AIIC Awards 2024 majoring the XXIV National Conference of the Italian Association of Clinical Engineers. The winners are Alessandro Ferranti, a graduate of the Bachelor's program in Industrial Engineeringand Francesca Santucci, a PhD student and alumna of the Master's program in Biomedical Engineering.

Alessandro Ferranti won the "Artificial Intelligence Applications" award for designing Freki's vision interface, a robot dog that facilitates biological samplinging in hospital septings. "I would like to continue my studies by participating in projects like this, which can create a real impact," he said Alessandro, who, after waiting the UCBM 2023 Bootcamp in Cambridge, plans to further his studies in Machine Learning and Data Science.

Francesca Santucci received the award for Best Doctoral Thesis in the category "Innovative Applications of Bioengineering" for her project at the University of Austin, where she developed an ultra-thin, flexible electronic tattoo. "I have implemented an algorithm capable of removing movement artifacts, allowing for the remote extraction of cardiac parameters during daily activities or in stressful conditions," explains Francesca.

Also among the finalists was Alessandra Fiorenza, an alumna of the Master's program in Biomedical Engineering. She presented a Frugal Innovation project: an electro-writing device for the sustainable production of hospital products, created using an old 3D printer and a transformer from a cathode ray tube TV.
