Sunday October 2 the solidarity ride is back through the streets of the historic center of Rome for support research against breast cancer and promote healthy lifestyles. According to the Aiom-Airtum report "The numbers of cancer in Italy 2021", breast cancer continues to be the cancer most frequently diagnosed in women in Italy but thanks to screening and a greater awareness of women, most malignant tumors are diagnosed at an early stage allowing more effective treatments and therapies with a survival rate of 88% 5 years after diagnosis.
Arrived at th edition, Bicinrosa aims to make women and the population in general aware of the importance of breast cancer prevention through sport and a correct lifestyle. The objectives of the event are to draw attention to the issue, raise funds for research and training to fight breast cancer, give visibility to women who have faced this type of disease and raise awareness of all treatment options.
The appointment is at 10.00 at the Trajan Forum in via dei Fori Imperiali in Rome. The event is sponsored by Breast Unit of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation with the collaboration ofFriends of the AssociationUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma Onlus and Europe Direct Rome Innovation, the patronage of the Lazio region, the organizational support of ASD Cycling Lazio, TiburTeam e Lime e Soft Sound Size.
