Dear students,

the present in order to give you ample information about the functioning of the University starting from Monday 9 November next in light of the latest DPCM in force.

We premise that our University, as you well know, has so far implemented all possible actions in order to guarantee you face-to-face teaching, the provision of all the necessary face-to-face or remote services, where not possible face-to-face, always respecting of the most stringent safety measures in the field of prevention from Sars-CoV2.

We also want to guarantee you from now on the maximum effort to return to normal university life, as soon as the trend of the pandemic and the regulatory framework allow it and always in compliance with the safety measures, in the interest of your health and that of the entire university community.

In the meantime, given the pandemic, we are guaranteeing all of you, through the Covid representatives of the University and through the Policlinico structure, the maximum counseling and screening support in all situations of suspected or confirmed Covid cases.

We are also continuing to invest in structures and technologies that can best support your level of learning (in the next few days new tools will be used in lessons such as the Sectra anatomical table and the new Campus Bio co-innovation center will be available at the end of November -Doctor with Cisco).

We have also recently awarded the scholarships for around 100 kEuros allocated with the Covid-19 call of the Campus Bio-Medico University and financed by the University to support less well-off students.

 

From Monday 9 November 2020, therefore, the following will be carried out in presence:

1.     exclusively the lessons of all the first years of the course including also the master's degrees (the lessons of the courses after the first year will be distance learning);

2.     the work of thesis students with the authorization of the supervisor; for the specific supervision of the Campus Bio-Medico Polyclinic, the Supervisor will have to limit the presence only to the activities strictly necessary for the completion of the thesis;

3.     simulation classroom internships;

4.     traineeships at the headquarters of CESA and Longoni;

5.     any video/live broadcasts from the hospital to university classrooms (presence is possible in university classrooms for this type of activity);

6.     all laboratory activities as scheduled;

7.     November 2020 graduation sessions with a maximum of two family members present (in case of quarantine, remote access for teachers and undergraduates).

As for the internships at the Campus Bio-Medico Polyclinic, they are currently suspended until the Covid situation allows a return to the presence.

 

Furthermore:

8.    The library will be open to all students upon reservation and within the limit of available places in compliance with the rules of distancing;

9.    The student secretariat and all academic services will be open to all students upon reservation;

10. The University Language Center will be open to all students upon reservation for language tutoring activities;

11. The Tutoring and Counseling Service will be open to all students upon reservation;

12. The activities of the Chaplaincy will be possible only by reservation and in very small groups;

13. The specialization theses on 9-10-11 November will take place in the presence and without family members (in case of quarantine, remote access for teachers and undergraduates).

14. The company restaurant will be open only to students who are at the University during the lunch time slot either to carry out educational activities or because they are specifically authorized for one of the cases listed above.

We are maintaining a continuous and constructive dialogue with your representatives which allows us to inform you of the actions we are implementing and at the same time allows us to collect your needs and indications with a view to continuous improvement.
