Rome, 15 May 2020 - No positive operator al Rome Biomedical Campus and just it 0,8 percent of people with antibodies. It is the result of the seroprevalence survey launched in recent days on 2000 operators and which in the space of 10 days saw a screening with venous sampling on employees, collaborators and workers of external companies who animate the life of the Polyclinic every day and of the Roman University.

During the investigation, carried out on a voluntary and free basis, the presence of IgG gamma globulins against SARS-CoV-2, one of the antibodies produced during the infection, was investigated. Among Polyclinic and University staff, only 15 people showed the blood presence of antibodies: they are subjects who in the past have come into contact with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, currently completely asymptomatic and negative. As per protocol, these people were subjected to the swab for the molecular test on the PCR Real Time platform which gave totally negative results. The Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital, thanks to the organizational solutions, the prevention and safety provisions, the systematic use of personal protective equipment, it is a completely Covid-free hospital.

In recent days, the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital has made its offer available to individuals and companies checks related to Covid-19, for the search for IgG antibodies, up to a complete check-up which also includes an evaluation with the internist doctor.

From Monday 11 also kicked off the “Drive On Campus Test”, service in agreement with the SSR set up with a separate access from the Polyclinic available to citizens to carry out the nasopharyngeal swab directly inside their car. Patients who show up at the Polyclinic in via Alvaro del Portillo 192 in the helipad area, with a health card with a dematerialized medical prescription from their family doctor or pediatrician of free choice, can take the swab free of charge without any reservations.

The swab taken by specifically appointed operators is processed by the doctors of the analysis laboratory of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital, belonging to the CoroNet network of the Lazio Region and authorized for PCR Real Time analysis of the swabs.
