It will have a very low environmental impact since it will not use combustion heat production systems and will reach Scope 1 of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol for environmental sustainability for energy neutrality (Carbon Neutral - Carbon Zero) with respect to CO2 emissions. The heat will be supplied by the trigenerator of the University Hospital while the cold will be produced by refrigeration systems capable of reducing energy consumption by 50 percent. The construction of the "CuBo" is part of the expansion project of UCBM, "PiùCampus" development plan to 2045 (conceived by CBM SpA), which will gradually lead to the doubling of the university structures dedicated to teaching, research, medical assistance and cultural diffusion.
