June 29, 2021 The Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital, in order to be ever closer to citizens, takes a new challenging evolutionary leap and launches home care. It is a health response aimed at the most fragile people and aimed at guaranteeing those in need of palliative care and their families and caregivers the highest quality of life. Together with the development of advanced telemedicine activities, that of home assistance is one way of caring for people that fully embodies the founding spirit of the Campus Bio-Medico, that is to bring health, professionalism, innovation and support where the need is greatest.

The home care activity, the fulcrum of Palliative Care Center "Together in Care" together with the hospice, it is aimed at all citizens of Lazio and allows those people who, without this care service, would be forced into hospitalization or continuous access to health facilities, to be kept in the serenity of their own home and their closest loved ones. "With home care – emphasizes the teacher Maria Grazia De Marinis, head of the Palliative Care Center "Together in care" – it is the Bio-Medico Campus that goes to the homes of those in need of care and assistance, remaining in their own context of life and loved ones. Home care is mainly entrusted to medical and nursing staff who, with passion and professionalism, are able to cope with the complexity of the care needs of patients and families, long tried by the course of serious and incurable diseases. As a Palliative Care Center we strongly believe in the extension of home care especially for people who have chronic pathologies or who, for age-related reasons, are particularly fragile. Together with telemedicine, this line of assistance sees us engaged with great determination, thanks to a team made up of motivated professionals who are sensitive to the mission of care".
