The Sine Cura award is given every year by theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma to a personality who has particularly distinguished himself, in the past year, in the diffusion of security themes. The word "security" finds its roots in the Latin expression "sine cura", which means the condition in which people do not have to worry about their safety, because there are others who take care of it for them. In seventeen years of activity the Master in Homeland Security UCBM Academy, first in Italy in these issues, has trained and put into work over 400 professional figures of high value today active in the most important Italian industrial companies, where they guarantee the safety of the infrastructures and the continuity of services.
"We are particularly pleased on this day to award the "Sine Cura 2025" prize to the prefect Vittorio Rizzi and, symbolically, to all the people who discreetly protect the lives of Italian citizens and businesses. – has ofchiarato the President UCBM Ing. Carlo Tosti - Daily security is not only provided by law enforcement but is the result of the careful use of information, IT skills, relationships, listening skills and a deep understanding of reality. From all this comes the possibility for all of us to live in a country where we can walk peacefully through our streets. For seventeen years, our Master in Homeland Security has opened its students' eyes to the world of security and civil defense and offers professionals from businesses and public bodies the opportunity to get to know the men and skills that make our country great, even in this field. We thank Prefect Rizzi for the fundamental role of service to all of us that he carries out daily with his men".
UCBM, in addition to the Master in Homeland Security, has activated over the years numerous courses related to national security issues: a Master's degree course in Intelligent Systems Engineering, which develops along three fundamental lines: robotics, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity and the Master in Cybersecurity Management, now in its third edition. We are also active on the research front, thanks to the new joint laboratory created with the competence centre of the Ministry for Enterprise and Made in Italy, Cyber 4.0 or projects such as the one supported by Google, which has allocated to UCBM a grant to develop an AI platform designed to help SMEs manage cybersecurity incidents.
