A full calendar of proposals to experience the University at 360 degrees
18 April 2016 - The fifth edition of the Sport and Culture Week returns from 9 to 12 May. A central appointment in the life of the University, it is designed by UCBM for its students, but also involves its employees thanks to a rich proposal of thematic events.
The leitmotif of the week will be sports activities. The kick-off belongs to the Tournament "Giulio Marinozzi", a 5-a-side football competition named after the former rector, a great sports enthusiast. The tournament, now in its twentieth edition, began in October and will culminate in the finals on May 9th. The winners will be awarded on Wednesday 11, at 18.15, on the stage set up in the square between PRABB and Trapezio.
During the Campus day, on May 12, i will multiply instead tournaments and demonstrations, together with the possibility of experimenting with numerous disciplines: from five-a-side football to table tennis, from beach volleyball to rugby. Running enthusiasts will be able to try their hand at a foot race inside the new Nature Trail Andrea D'Ambrosio, a route located within the over 6 hectares of the Decima Malafede Nature Reserve, where theUCBM it is immersed. For the laziest, table football and chess tournaments are also planned, while at 12 il card. Angelo Sodano will celebrate the Mass in the Chapel of the University Hospital, on the day of the liturgical feast of Blessed Álvaro del Portillo, inspirer of the University.
During the week, there will also be shows. The theater workshop UCBM, directed by Francesca Fava, will stage the musical “Grease”, while the fifth edition of the Campus' Got Talent, a real talent show that will see students perform, but also teachers and administrative staff, individually or in small groups. Three categories in the competition, singing and music, acting, entertainment, dance and artistic sports.
Big news this year, the presentation of the new project of bike sharing, for sustainable mobility within the university campus, as well as the upcoming planting of new trees on Nature Trail Andrea D'Ambrosio. Two decidedly green touches to an event that has now become a full part of the training offer UCBM.
