Rome, 4 March 2022 - Five scholarships to express concrete solidarity with the Ukrainian people. so theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma has decided to support the commitment of 5 Ukrainian students with the establishment of as many scholarships, including room and board, available to young people who want to enter one of the 12 university study paths starting from the current academic year .
The initiative accepts the invitation of the Conference of Italian University Rectors to act with concrete actions in favor of the ongoing humanitarian emergency and is part of a set of immediately operational activities in favor of peace and solidarity desired by the university in such a difficult moment for the Ukrainian people.
As the Rector recalled UCBM Raffaele Calabrò “Only in peace can there be personal growth and scientific research fully aimed at the progress and development of men”.
In the next few days theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma will mount further solidarity initiatives for peace and for the Ukrainian people as the project continues “#Student4peace” challenge in collaboration with the National Association of Headmasters of Rome and Lazio, to give voice to young students and university students with a short video on social networks. Students and employees UCBM have also joined a a fundraiser in support of the Ukrainian population promoted by Caritas Italiana to meet the immediate needs of the populations victims of the conflict in Ukraine.
