Medicine, nursing, engineering, food and nutrition, sustainability, artificial intelligence, big data and so on. Thanks to the use of a Cardboard VR headset for virtual reality, the participants of the institutes of Lecce Banzi Bazoli, Cosimo De Giorgi, Giuseppe Palmieri, IISS Salvatore Trinchese of Martano and Liceo Capece of Maglie, were able to follow a lesson directly inside a classroom UCBM, participate in a real meeting with the teachers, enter the operating room, carry out experiments in the laboratory together with a researcher without, however, moving from one's chair. The immersive experience is made possible by 4K video projections made with 360-degree cameras.
Event host the prof Laura De Gara, Pro-Rector for teaching and Vicar of the Rector, and the teacher. Mauro Capocelli, professor of Chemical Engineering, who gave a lecture on climate change and the role of engineering in solving the most urgent environmental and industrial problems. Finally, the students were able to try their hand at a real assessment quiz and learn about the stories of some successful students who have shared their academic experience.
The experience was made even more original by the performance of Live Graphic Recording, a professional designer who told the various phases of the day in real time.
