18 February 2022 - It was inaugurated in January on Movement analysis laboratory of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation, pertaining to the UOC of Orthopedics and Traumatology directed by teacher. Rocco Papalia.
"The predominant activity of the laboratory - explains the teacher. Umile Giuseppe Longo, head of the UOS of Sports Traumatology – is mainly focused on the evaluation of patients who undergo shoulder, hip and knee prosthesis operations and ligament reconstruction operations of the knee and shoulder”.
The laboratory will be used in clinical research for movement analysis, in order to "provide scientific evidence on the most widely used therapeutic approaches – conservative or surgical – which have the objective of restoring the anatomy and biomechanics of the operated joints", clarifies the prof. Enzo Denaro, Chief Emeritus of Orthopedics.
The activities carried out in the movement analysis laboratory require multidisciplinary skills and will be carried out in close synergy between orthopedic surgeons, clinicians and biomedical engineers.
