27 April 2016 - TheUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma takes to the field to train family doctors ready to respond to the needs of the future reorganization of Italian General Medicine. In fact, the third edition of the II level University Master's Degree in General Medicine, organized by the University's Post-Graduate Service in collaboration with Fimmg, the Italian Federation of General Practitioners, responds to this need.
The main purpose of the Master is precisely to offer in-depth skills to face the challenges of renewal: the participants will be called to develop, in a sort of "laboratory" and under the guidance of experts from theUCBM and Fimmg, innovative projects that envisage the taking charge of patients with clinical situations of greater impact, the construction of a training course, the definition of indicators and the implementation of the Audit, the definition of a research project, in the scope of the new scenarios proposed to General Medicine. The Master therefore aims to provide participants with both practical notions and cultural insights aimed at making the approach with the patient more professionally valid, thus improving the quality of prevention, diagnosis and treatment in the field of General Medicine.
The Master, organized into thematic modules, is directed by Antonio Picardi, head of the Hepatology Operational Unit of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital, while the scientific coordination is entrusted to Fimmg.
The start of lessons is scheduled for June 17th, but there is time to register until June 4th. The course lasts 18 months and guarantees the acquisition of 60 credits. Its 'part-time' formula makes it compatible with the professional commitments of the participants.
