Anthony Testa is one of the participants in the 8th edition of the II level Master
September 16, 2016 - Shape stands for Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers in Europe, or headquarters of the Supreme Command of the Allied Forces in Europe. He is in Belgium and lives there and works as a consultant for the NCIA (NATO Communications and Information Agency, an agency of the Atlantic Alliance) Anthony Testa, one of the participants in the 8th edition of Master's Degree in Homeland Security.
There are almost 1.500 kilometers that separate Shape from Rome, and Anthony traveled them all every time the lessons began in UCBM. A path that the young man decided to take "after doing a lot of research. I was looking for a master's degree that was relevant to both my job and interests, taught me new aspects of safety, and was part-time to accommodate my work needs. Furthermore, and this was the determining factor, I was looking for a master's degree with international credibility" explains Anthony, who in Belgium plays the role of Head, Staff Management Officer and Chief of the Front Office, Core Enterprise Services (CES). "I am trilingual, so I also consulted French or English language institutes, but I quickly realized that there aren't many other viable alternatives in Europe. What's more, the course partners and the study program have thrilled me and comforted me in my choice."
At Shape, Anthony leads a team made up of civilian and military of various nationalities and is responsible for providing the leadership with studies, analyzes and data that allow to make strategic decisions regarding the employment of personnel. He also deals with external consultancy for the support of NATO missions. "I really liked the diversity of the topics covered, just as I greatly appreciated the experiences and top-level profiles of the teachers - tells -. The approach during the lessons was never purely theoretical, but always oriented towards a practical and concrete sharing of knowledge, in order to be able to grasp its application in everyday life. Another fantastic aspect was the human one. Both the master's staff and the classmates were exceptional: a close-knit group was formed very quickly with whom we shared exciting discussions during the lessons and moments of joy and friendship in their free time".
A wealth of knowledge and experience that Anthony will now bring back to his everyday work and which will allow him to "better understand and support the decisions taken by NATO in contexts related to the Homeland Security of Allies or Partner Countries". In the meantime, registrations are open 9th edition of the Masters. Among other things, ten scholarships are available that INPS wishes to grant to children of public administration employees.
