Rome, 1 April 2020 - After having guaranteed the analysis of swabs from the ASL Roma 6 territory within the Lazio regional network and having brought to Europe the experience of using artificial intelligence to early identify lung damage caused by coronavirus, the contribution of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma is completed today with an isolated, independent Covid Center with dedicated staff.
Thanks to Intesa San Paolo's donation to the Civil Protection – which also includes the intervention in favor of UCBM – what would be inaugurated in a few days as the Emergency and Admissions Department (iDEA Campus) was transformed into a 40-bed Covid Center, 9 of which in intensive care, important in order to support the regional health system in coping to the Covid-19 emergency.
Particular merit in favor of this new healthcare resource for the community must be given to the Rome Biomedical Campus University Foundation, chaired by Paolo Arullani. The Campus Covid Center began operations today.
