Health promotion, university training, internships and refresher courses for Carabinieri throughout Italy in the teaching and research facilities of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. These are in summary the contents of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Carabinieri and theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, signed today at the General Command of the Force by the General Commander, Gen. CA Salvatore Luongo and the CEO and General Manager of the University Dr. Andrea Rossi, with the aim of starting a valuable collaboration aimed at promoting health protection.

The protocol is aimed at developing specific implementing agreements within the training programs organized by the University, as well as for the carrying out of curricular internships, applied research of common interest and the planning of refresher courses.

The subscription also includes financial benefits for the benefit of the personnel of the Carabinieri and their families up to the first degree, who intend to attend training and study courses (Food Science and Human Nutrition, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering) organized by the University.

Within the scope of the Protocol, the Arma undertakes to stipulate with UCBM agreements for the organization of training/professional updating courses also for the benefit of their own healthcare personnel, as well as for the carrying out of curricular internships and applied research of common interest, also providing the availability of the equipment/equipment of dependent healthcare facilities.

The Carabinieri are particularly active in this specific sector, in fact through the Health Service carries out health promotion programs in order to safeguard the physical integrity of its soldiers and their families, also promoting training activities.

UCBM, for over thirty years, has been involved in a comprehensive training project in the fields of life sciences, wants to extend its proposals to the Carabinieri with a view to strengthening the historic relationship between the two institutions.

The signing of the protocol between the Carabinieri and UCBM further underlines the importance of health protection, as an individual right and a primary interest of the community.
