Professional internship in the University Hospital
October 8, 2019 − The second edition of the first level university master's degree in "MRI techniques in clinical and research settings”. The course is structured in 6 thematic areas which include integrated forms of theoretical activities, individual learning and field experiences with a problem-based approach.
Topics will cover:
- RM: hardware components and quality controls;
- RM: from image to proton
- Protocols and diagnostic pathways in MRI
- Functional imaging in MRI
- RM image quality checks
- The diagnostic process in MRI
The lessons will be held in the new Radiology Room of the Campus Bio-Medico General Hospital, which is going through a phase of profound restructuring and innovation, in view of the forthcoming opening of the DEA in 2020. In addition to the theoretical part, the Master will allow the participant to carry out a professional internship at the General Hospital (accredited by JCI), where there are 500 hours of attendance in the MRI rooms and 250 hours of simulation activities guided by an expert classroom tutor.
The objective of the Master is to develop advanced attitudes, knowledge and skills in the management and optimization of RM protocols, to ensure continuous quality improvement with reference to the structural, technological and human resources of the operating units in which it operates. "At the end of the Masters – explains the doctor. Isidoro Galdino, Scientific Coordinator - the participant will have been trained as Radiology Technician expert in Magnetic Resonance, a professional who can immediately put himself at the service of the healthcare company, being able to identify connections between theory and clinical reality, ask questions and be proactively critical of theoretical concepts for an adequate understanding of practical activities".
