At the Maria Caniglia theater a day of orientation and information with the students of the Peligna valley
14 January 2020 - There were 700 students from the Peligna valley in the province of L'Aquila from the high schools of Avezzano, Sulmona, Pratola Peligna, Castel Di Sangro and Popoli the protagonists of the university orientation day "#UCBMMEET” of 13 January, the event wanted by theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma at the Maria Caniglia theater in Sulmona, with the presence of the president of the Region Marco Marsilio and the bishop of Sulmona Michele Fusco.
An opportunity to help high school students in the Peligno area to choose the university course that will accompany them in the coming years involving the district's institutes, from classical and scientific high schools to linguistics. With its three Faculties of Medicine and Surgery, Engineering and Science and Technology for Man and the Environment organized into 11 degree coursesUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma has always been characterized by its ability to combine scientific research and the most advanced technologies in the name of "science for man", developing solutions for the care and well-being of people. The day at the Caniglia theater was an opportunity to talk about the opportunities made available by new scholarship scheme which, starting from the 2020/2021 academic year, will give even more opportunities to many deserving students to graduate from the Campus Bio-Medico in Rome.
The event saw the presence of important institutional figures starting from those of the Bishop of Sulmona SE Michael Fusco and the president of the Abruzzo region Marco Marsilio, together with the participation of numerous mayors of the area. The orientation day opened with greetings from the authorities followed by the introduction of the General Director of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma Andrea Rossi in the world of the university's educational offer and the numerous scholarships allocated by the university with the aim of attracting the best talents; the students listened to the testimonies of some university students from Abruzzo who study atUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and a short one multidisciplinary lesson on the subjects of engineering, medicine, food sciences and nursing. At the end of the day it was also possible to tackle the simulation of an admission test with questions of logic, chemistry, biology, mathematics.
