Montalto di Castro, 19 January 2023 - Eight hundred eyes focused on the future, those of the 400 students of the Marconi high schools of Civitavecchia and the Cardarelli high schools of Tarquinia who filled the Lea Padovani theatre in Montalto di Castro on Thursday 19 January, packed for the first stage of the national tour "Destinazione Ucbm" promoted by theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. A series of interactive and multimedia meetings supported by virtual reality viewers designed to help students in their last two years of high school choose their course of study and to introduce the Roman university, specialized in scientific subjects ranging from Medicine, to Engineering, to Food Science, to Sustainability.
A morning of celebration that gave everyone the opportunity to explore the university world: with the virtual tour videos and the experience of the virtual reality viewers, the kids discovered the classrooms and moments of university life in full depth, also being able listen to the teacher's voice Sara Cimini a lesson on the effects of climate change on plants, but also the testimonies of two students who recounted their off-site experience and the university environment that welcomed them, with the opportunities and occasions that arose during the course of their university studies.

A theme of fundamental importance, which inUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma finds the support of a modern structure, built inside a protected nature reserve, equipped with laboratories and flanked by a university hospital where teaching and research have always gone hand in hand. An opportunity for students to study and carry out internships alongside professional doctors and clinical engineers and to experience the many faces of the university dimension, from sports to volunteering, through the opportunities of "Campus Life".

The school directors of the local schools also participated in the morning, Laura Pironi from the Cardarelli high school in Tarquinia and Nicola Guzzone from the Marconi high school in Civitavecchia. A special greeting was addressed to Professor Capoccia, historic teacher of the area and professor of many of those present.
