The course that responds to the new development needs of the University Hospital
20 September 2019 - The VIII edition of the University Master's Degree in Nursing Assistance and instrumentation in the operating room, tra masters starting for the new academic year, it is undoubtedly one of the paths that responds to the development needs of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital. The future opening of the first level DEA, in fact, will determine a strong organizational change for the Polyclinic, with an increase in the offer of services to the patient, the definition of new processes and the inclusion of specialized personnel ready to respond to the needs of a health facility, which will become a point of reference for the southern quadrant of Rome and for the surrounding area.
There are still a few days to register for the selections of the Master, scheduled Tuesday October 8 2019. Also in this edition, the theoretical part of the classroom lessons (carried out by qualified personnel of the Polyclinic) will be completed by the internship activity in the operating block, in which each individual student will be entrusted to a Clinical Tutor who will support him in the learning process. The internship will have a minimum duration of 150 hours (expandable at the student's choice) and will allow to acquire technical skills in:
- circulating operating room nursing,
- scrub nurse,
- recovery room (anaesthesia and resuscitation).
At the end of the course, students will be able to guarantee high levels of quality and safety: in patient care, during the peri-operative, intra-operative and post-operative phase. They will also be autonomous in the surgical instrumentation of various specialist areas, in the maintenance and management of the medical devices in use in the operating block.
