This event intertwines theater, research, sports, and spirituality, transforming the University into a lively hub for encounter and reflection. A program full of initiatives
Throughout the week, the Campus Bio-Medico will host a series of events, including the "Run for Liver," a race dedicated to the prevention of liver disease and the promotion of liver health. Free specialist consultations will also be offered at the Campus Bio-Medico Porta Pinciana Outpatient Clinic. "The initiative was created to highlight the key role physical activity plays in preventing these diseases," commented Giovanni Galati, hepatologist and creator of the event together with colleagues from the Clinical Medicine and Hepatology unit of the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Campus BioMedico, who then continued: “Metabolic syndrome, in fact, can affect up to 30-40% of the population and is related to a sedentary lifestyle and excessive eating.”

A growth opportunity for the academic community
Marcella Trombetta, Dean of the Departmental Faculty of Sciences and Biotechnology, states: “This week represents an authentic and different way of experiencing relationships at our university. Saverio Tombolini was a young man passionate about art. With his family, we decided to honor his memory by creating a space where the entire community could freely express their talents.”
A broader and more humane idea of education
“This week represents an intentional suspension of ordinary university time,” explains Professor Luca Borghi, professor of history of medicine. "It's an opportunity for the academy to slow down to foster a more authentic encounter between people. A moment that combines study with emotion and shared memory, giving depth to daily commitments."
Over the years, the initiative has also attracted prominent figures from the worlds of entertainment, sports, and business—from Mara Venier to Gina Lollobrigida, to Olympic athletes, doctors, and entrepreneurs—testifying to the importance of an education that blends the beauty of art, the value of sport, and the power of memory. A week that doesn't interrupt university, but perhaps reveals its deeper meaning.
