Two weeks from September 6 at Virginia Commonwealth University

July 12, 2016 - The Board of Directors of the Campus Bio-Medico Alumni Association of the University Rome Biomedical Campus, in order to promote the internationalization of the University, launches a selection procedure for the assignment of five scholarships (up to a maximum value of € 1.000,00 each) for an internship organized by the Department of Medicine and Surgery at the Virginia Commonwealth University, in Richmond (Virginia). The internship is directed by prof. Antonio Abbate, Medical Director of the Clinical Research Unit. 

The scholarships are intended for five students enrolled in the fourth, fifth and sixth year of the Departmental Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. Students must be up to date with their exams, have an excellent knowledge of the English language and be motivated to participate. Students enrolled in the final year, as established by the statute, must also be up-to-date with the payment of the membership fee (€20).

The 15-day course will begin on 6 September 2016 and will include theoretical and practical lessons at the Virginia Commonwealth University campus in Richmond (Virginia), USA. The lessons will mainly focus on clinical and translational research methodology and there will be the possibility to gain experience in one of the clinical or pre-clinical research projects.
