Theses awarded by the Prefect Franco Gabrielli. The XV edition of the Master in Homeland Security is underway
Tomorrow's security professionals trained in "Master in Homeland Security - Systems, methods and tools for security and crisis management" promoted byUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, met today in Rome on the occasion of the IV edition of the "Award Davide DeLuca". To deliver the prizes for the best theses of the XIV edition of the Master il Prefect Franco Gabrielli, former undersecretary of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and former Head of the National Department of Civil Protection. The winner of the "De Luca" Prize is Andrea Smooth, former Captain of the Carabinieri, today Business Resilience Manager in Vodafone. Seconds to be awarded: Francesco Della Corte, Major of the Guardia di Finanza e Richard Laurenti, Cyber Security & Reputation Intelligence Specialist in DeepCyber (Maggioli Group).
- Andrea Lisci addressed the issue of "Stability Police", that complex of Police activities aimed at restoring and/or maintaining public order and safety in operational scenarios, from the changes undergone in the international scenario starting from the end of the Second World War up to the creation of a real doctrine on the subject of Stability Policing.
- Francesco Della Corte explored the"Integrated use of drones, thermal imaging cameras and radar sensors for the defense of external maritime borders and sensitive targets" analyzing the functions of the various police forces and the technological equipment available.
- Riccardo Laurenti studied "reputational analysis for a national geostrategic operator" like Enel, through an analysis that has embraced the existing model, refining it in its entirety.
The appointment, coordinated by prof. Roberto Setola, Ordinary of Automatica of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and Scientific Director of the Master wanted to highlight the best theses of the master's degree which has been offering a for 14 years complete training on the world of security and trains the best experts on the job market.
The day, in which he participated Edoardo Antonio DeLuca, Vice-President of the Association "Davide De Luca – A life for Intelligence", he kicked off with greetings from Carlo Tosti, President of the University and of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation and of the Prof. Marcella Trobetta, Scientific Coordinator of the Master and Dean of the Departmental Faculty of Science and Technology for Man and the Environment UCBM.
The Masters in Homeland Security, is an advanced training course that aims to train technicians and professionals capable of supporting the process of analyzing security needs, identifying the countermeasures to be adopted and designing and developing integrated solutions for what concerns the implementation, management and operation of security procedures and systems. The Master aims to provide the methodological tools and knowledge necessary for those who must be able to understand security problems and to consciously define, implement and manage systems, procedures and actions to be taken to prevent, contrast and limit the different threats as well as manage any anomalous, alarm or crisis situations.
