The first of the courses designed with the Pathological Anatomy Research Unit will start on 4 October
October 3, 2018 - Nine ECM courses dedicated to the in-depth study of pathological anatomy topics related to precision oncology. The path designed by the Post Graduate Training Service together with the Pathological Anatomy Research Unit, directed by prof., will start on Thursday 4 October and will end in June 2019. We start with the free course "Adenocarcinoma of the colon: pathological anatomy and flow chart of molecular diagnostics". Held by Prof. Matteo Fassan of the University of Padua, aims to update the participants on the pathological anatomy of colorectal adenocarcinoma, and also includes the examination of the diagnostic, prognostic and response predictive molecular factors for clinical use.
We will then continue on Thursday 15 November, when we will talk about "Non-small cell lung cancer: pathological anatomy and molecular flow chart". Subsequent courses will instead deal with breast cancer, melanoma and urothelial cancer.
All meetings are sponsored by the Italian Society of Pathological Anatomy (SIAPEC) and the Italian Association of Medical Oncology (AIOM). Each includes two lectures held by renowned speakers and followed by collegial discussion.
The courses are designed for oncologists, surgeons, radiotherapists, biologists and obviously pathologists. Participation in each individual course includes the release of a certificate of participation.Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and the ECM certificate.
