Graduated in Chemical Engineering for Sustainable Development in 2021, she talks about her experience at Novamont
The 6-month internship and the thesis project at the Novamont plant in Terni, a company that produces bioplastics according to a circular bio-economy model based on territorial regeneration and the efficient use of renewable energy.
“I became aware of the opportunity thanks to my thesis supervisor, Prof. Vincenzo Piemonte, and I chose the thesis project that best suited my interests and skills. I visited a real plant for the first time, finally giving shape to what I had studied in books until then. This experience gave me the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team in which I met many different people with whom I could interact in a constructive and stimulating way. Working in a complex and dynamic company like Novamont has allowed me to train my ability to face new challenges, to train my organizational skills to meet the deadlines set and my creative thinking to deal pragmatically with complex problems that concern managing a project. The experience in Novamont has been a source of great professional growth. To my colleagues who want to undertake a thesis and internship, I advise them to choose a company whose values and mission they share, considering the internship as an opportunity to put themselves to the test. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and above all, have fun!"
