Il prof. Eugenio Guglielmelli, Rector ofUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, participated in the last few days in the Business, Science and Technology Forum Italy - India, promoted by the Italian Embassy in India, in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani and Minister of University and Research Anna Maria Bernini and dell 'Ambassador Antonio Bartoli.
The Forum, held in New Delhi, represented an important opportunity for discussion between academic institutions, the business world and stakeholders from Italy and India, with the aim of promoting strategic collaborations in the sectors of innovation, research and technological development.
La delegation of the CRUI (Conference of Rectors of Italian Universities), present at the event, was composed – in addition to our Rector – by the Prof. Tiziana Lippiello, Rector of Ca' Foscari University of Venice, from Prof. Francesco Cupertino, Rector of the Polytechnic of Bari, from Prof. Stefano Corgnati, Rector of the Polytechnic of Turin and from Prof. Sergio Cavalieri, Rector of the University of Bergamo.
Il Prof. Guglielmo intervened in the event "Italy-India Science and Technology Dialogue: Fostering Innovation through Collaboration", participating in the session dedicated to "Biotechnology and Life Sciences". During his speech he presented the University, illustrating the main teaching, research and innovation activities related to the theme of the session, with particular attention to the main spin-offs UCBM coming to the international market and to the opportunities for collaborations between Italy and India. The meeting confirmed itself as a high-level moment to strengthen the dialogue between universities and companies of the two countries, with the shared objective of starting soon new strategic cooperation initiatives for the benefit of mutual development.
