9 internationally renowned members to support strategic research development UCBM
June 7, 2022 - Created on the initiative of the Academic Senate, theInternational Research and Innovation Advisory Board. A board made up of 9 internationally renowned members, coordinated by teacher. Massimo Inguscio to define and guide the research ofUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma towards an increasingly important dimension in the national and international scientific panorama, in line with the 2021-2023 strategic plan.
In the Advisory Board stand out personalities with a solid preparation in the field of research topics UCBM and in the management of academic institutions, research bodies or companies active in the industrial sectors of main reference for technology transfer. "An ambitious goal - said the president Carlo Tosti - to consolidate international best practices on research and the third mission, in a particular historical moment characterized by adherence to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and by the future accreditation of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation as IRCSS".
On the table are the major research topics of the University and the Policlinico Foundation: health and life sciences, human and environmental sciences and technologies, biomedical engineering, information technology and sustainable development with a view to synergistic integration and interdisciplinarity aimed at creating projects that promote the well-being of the person and of society through a one-health approach. The project of the Social Green Masterplan which will take place in the next few years and which, with its seven theme parks, including the one dedicated to research and new technologies, will constitute an ecosystem capable of attracting talents, start-ups, researchers and companies and in which personal care, the environmental ecosystem and sociality will be in constant osmosis.
The Board will meet next September to define an action plan also aimed at participation in European research programs and PNRR tenders.
