Two prizes up for grabs for a total of 50 euros to support the talent and intuition of PhD, postgraduate and postdoc students
28 January 2021 - Is called "University Strategic Project – Young Researcher Scientific Independence” the new call for young researchers conceived and promoted byUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma to encourage the initiative of young scientific researchers.
While the Recovery plan is expected to make a substantial contribution to the university training and research sector, it is also theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, which has always been committed to promoting the culture of research in the various fields of scientific knowledge and their intersections: from medicine to technological innovation in the engineering field, up to the new environmental challenges posed by climate change and its repercussions on man.
The tender, entirely financed by the University, offers two prizes of around 25 euros each for one year. The sum can be used by the researcher to give complete form to his own project.
"The call is part of a broader context of University initiatives implemented to reward merit and support excellence and is aimed at PhD students, graduate students and postdocs from any Italian and foreign university. The topic of the project can concern any of the subjects of interest of the University - explains the teacher. Giovanni Di Pino, head of the working table set up by the Rector for the promotion of young researchers – Furthermore, the research will have to be carried out within theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and the host Research Unit will be able to add up to a maximum of 50% of the prize”.
In addition to rewarding talent and promoting the independence of young researchers, the call aims to motivate young people to draft a project within a competitive call, encouraging them to develop the necessary skills. Its publication is in fact accompanied by a day dedicated to young people and the writing of projects.
“Applicants should be able to explain the validity and interest of their project in English and in a few words. The six projects considered best will be examined by external reviewers who are experts in the field. Of these six, the two most deserving will be awarded.DiPino adds.
