Rome, 30 September 2019 - The students of theCampus Bio-Medico University of Rome have restarted the academic year with great news for the quality of their student life. Yesterday evening, 30 September, the new restaurant on the University Campus managed by was inaugurated pedevilla, historic Italian company symbol of the excellence of quality catering and already a partner of the Bio-Medico Campus since 2016. The restaurant has been completely renovated to improve the functionality of the spaces and increase the services offered to students. The renovation was designed and implemented with a view to ensuring better usability of the restaurant, which extends over an area of 720mq and is frequented every day by over 800 students. The new University restaurant managed by Pedevilla will be a meeting and conviviality center able to fully satisfy the criteria of usability, functionality and sustainability.

Starting from a study on the regulation of distribution flows, the service will have decidedly reduced waiting times both at the restaurant entrance and at the tills. In addition, the offer of dishes in the distribution area has been expanded and various innovations have been introduced that connote quality: gourmet first courses are cooked and creamed in the wok by the chef expressly, students will receive electronic disks to be warned when the pizza is ready, so as to safeguard the oven fragrance, and finally a wellness island has been included with a salad and fruit bar and a service entirely dedicated to the grill.

With this project, developed under the scientific guidance of experts UCBM, lunch becomes an opportunity for food education. Pedevilla is the spokesperson for a new vision of conviviality, linked to the values ​​of nutritional well-being and to a ethical and sustainable supply chain: the raw materials are locally sourced, fresh and of high quality. Not only that, Pedevilla also focuses on sustainability in terms of design: for the restaurant on the University Campus - as well as for all the Pedevilla company restaurants - custom-made furnishings are created with wood that respects the Chain of Custody, a company-wide traceability system used for all phases of wood processing and distribution.
